Step-by-Step Guide to Millions – Day 02 – $0.12

The goal of this challenge is to become financially free and I interpret this as the position or situation where I am able to make money even while I sleep. I define it as my ability to perpetually make money. To me that’s the dream and I know I resonate with a lot of you on that. This is the concept I need us to have in our minds that’s comparatively different from the traditional ‘the more hours you work, the more you make’ concept. If we stick to that, then we risk falling into the trap of being a slave to money. Money should work for us not the other way round.

You see for the past few years I have had a dream, a mental projection, a vision if you will, of how I’d like my life to be or the direction I wish to take. But unfortunately like many of you I’m human and have been prone to procrastination and the disposition of not wanting to take action to change my situation. I mean the desire was and still is there, I just wasn’t one to act on it.

So last year, after a health mishap and being left with a medical debt of nearly $900 on top of my mobile phone debt (mobile loans) of close to $850, I realized something had to give. I was no-longer going to entertain my situation if I wanted things to drastically change. I made a pact with myself that this (2020) was going to be MY year.

Back to the theme of this blog, now I have found out that in order to succeed in doing business online, you need some ‘special’ skill. It could be a high income skill (you might need to invest some amounts on that) or a basic skill (free or not much money needed). The basic skills, you can easily hone with the help of YouTube tutorials (like I’m doing). Such basic skills include Photoshop skills, video editing skills, website optimization skills as well as social media utilization skills among others. These are some of the best skills you will learn that will absolutely improve, if not drastically alter, your online business positively. Obviously for this challenge we have to go with the basic skills (we are broke remember?).

Today’s report is a little bit disappointing to say the least (actually super depressing). As you can see not a dollar earned. I went to my local bank to renew my credit card since I needed it for Pay-Pal verification, and unfortunately I was told I had to wait for a whole 2 weeks. This means I wasn’t and won’t be able to work on any of the sites I spoke about yesterday. On top of that, the sites that I researched today (Shopify, Amazon) that I thought I was gonna try out, also all require Pay-Pal accounts. So today was a total waste of time that we absolutely don’t have considering we are only about 8 months away from our $1,000,000 challenge. This means I will have to come up with another strategy of making money online tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Step-by-Step Guide to Millions – Day 01 – $0.12

If you’re reading this for the first time then I suggest you go back and read my first blog post just so you can catch up. To put things into perspective and to sort of have a clear vision, I’d like to mention a few things first. The goal is a million dollars, the time is 9 months, the strategy is eCommerce (or any online business that can generate what revenue we expect), and all these from zero dollars. I have been taking some mental re-programming lessons and also been getting rid of all fears and limiting beliefs about money and self-worth, in order for me to be in the right mind frame for this challenge. I suggest you do so too (PS: there are a tone of free lessons on YouTube for those just pick whichever suits you best).

So to give an update, today I went online to research and try to find “how to make money online” activities that actually work. I visited a couple of sites to try and sign up to start but unfortunately either they were unavailable in my country (Kenya), had no real way of making money on them, or had an issue with pay-pal verification. But the one I found that worked and didn’t have many restrictions was Picoworkers, where I made about $0.12 today. I would have probably made more, but the reason why I had to stop was that it felt like I was trading dollars for hours (not a fan of 9 to 5). What’s worse is that the tasks require much more effort than what they are paying, with most offering about $0.03 per task. I’m really not sure whether I’m actually going to get that money because it’s nowhere close to the minimum balance, also they need like a couple of days to verify the completion of tasks and on top of that, they need a 10-day waiting period from the time you request a withdrawal.

So that strategy is a burst but I’m doing more research and I found other sites like Scribe (transcription website) and InstaGC (paid surveys etc) which I’m gonna be pursuing tomorrow to see whether they actually work (I couldn’t do it today because my pay-pal account isn’t verified unfortunately and that is like a major requirement for both websites).

My First Blog Post

Step-by-Step Guide to Millions – Day 0 – $0

What if you could see and do certain things that would make you wealthy? What if you could document it day by day along the way so that others can get the opportunity of skipping all the hurdles you’ve gone through and try real ideas that actually makes them rich? This is going to be a blog about my journey to making millions of dollars starting from nothing. You are probably wondering how I’m going to do this, well guess what, so am I. All I have right now is a very very old HP laptop, free WiFi and a used techno android mobile phone. By the way I’m sleeping on my big brother’s couch, just so you know and I’m dead broke. Kinda cliche I know right, but so it is my life right now.

So just to give you a background or a summary, if you will, of my motivation and my reasons for doing this. I have in recent days been obsessed (actually binge-watched a lot of YouTube videos on how to make money without money, read a book about money and took a course on learning a high income skill) with how to make money without any money and my reasons are the fact that I don’t enjoy the old 9 to 5 job, I want actual financial freedom, I’m super broke and I want to actually find out the type of actionable knowledge that is out there for free and really works.

Here is why I may not see eye to eye with most of the so called millionaires out there whether self made or otherwise. They never tell you what they actually realistically did to make their first dollar later snowballing into millions. You always get the end part where they finally made the millions. They never show you what they actually did and how they went from one dollar to two and so on up to millions. And some of them even have the audacity to create and sell books or courses and talks further benefiting from the naive aspiring millionaire. Now don’t get me wrong though. I’m not saying there aren’t legit millionaires who show us what they did, I’m just saying they are too vague or too general when revealing what they did step by step, if they ever do.

I am going to dedicate each and every day of my life from today (8th February 2020) to research and try every single idea I can possibly come across and that’s worthy of testing, in order to prove to myself and you that it is possible and that it can be done. I would like to take this journey with you and not just let you be a passive reader watching things happen. Because I’m tired of the quality of life I have right now and so are you and we deserve better.
